Its Time we Met and Made a Mess

I can’t get enough of this one song. So, to prevent that situation where you listen to a song too much and get sick of it and neglect it for like 5 years then find it again and go “man! why did I stop listening to this song?” (pause for breath), I made a list of songs that go with it. Luckily I’m doing this mix project, or else my plan might backfire and I’d be sick of the lot of them.

1. Anna Molly Incubus

This song is actually the inspiration for the whole mix. I’ve been drawn to this song all week and it’s actually been a challenge to find songs that compare. I’ll admit I used genius for guidance but I didn’t agree with most of its suggestions.

2. Little Sister Queens of the Stone Age

One of the genius selections I did agree with. These guys are awesome. This song is no exception

3. DARE Gorillaz

Who doesn’t LOVE the Gorillaz? Seriously. I think you can fit them into every niche there is; pop, punk, funk, hip hop, rap, techno… OK maybe not country… but maybe!

4. Can’t help Falling in Love Pearl Jam

I missed this one in my covers post. But, I was lucky enough when I was younger to be in Pearl Jam’s fan club. For Christmas they sent out this 2 track lp, and one of the tracks was this song. If you haven’t heard it, check it out.

5. Teenage Dirtbag Wheatus

Everyone thinks this band is a one hit wonder. But I’m actually a big fan. I bought the album when this song was all the rage, and I loved every song. So, I’ve kept track of them on and off throughout the years. These guys are talented. I know everyone’s heard this song, but I recommend checking out some of their other stuff.

6. Heart in a Cage The Strokes

My ex-boyfriend’s ex-girlfriend recommended this album to me. I know, weird! But that’s how I like it, and this song fits the mold (or lack there of).

7. Creep Radiohead

Everybody feels like a creep sometimes. This one’s a work of emotional rock music genius.

8. 3 Libras Perfect Circle

Perfect Cirlcle is one of my favorite bands of all time, and this was the first song of theirs I heard. If you want to fall in love with this band, start here.

9. Ava Adore Smashing Pumpkins

Possibly the second sexiest song of all time. If you’ve been paying attention, you know what number one is. But if you haven’t, don’t worry, the sexiest songs of all time story is inevitable in the near future.

10. Aeroplane Red Hot Chili Peppers

That mother fucker’s always spiked with pain.
